PVTIME – Huawei Digital Power has secured the highest Level 5 certification from the China General Certification Centre for its innovative Smart I-V Curve Diagnosis solution. This establishes the technology as the first in the global photovoltaic sector to obtain this authoritative accreditation.
The diagnostic solution uses the company’s advanced SUN2000-460KTL smart string inverter to enable high-precision data sampling. Its operational efficiency is underpinned by a collaborative diagnostic framework at plant level, built on multiple expert models. The technology achieves 99% accuracy in detecting faults in photovoltaic equipment and provides optimised functional support for complex, mountainous application scenarios and intelligent, scheduled diagnostic operations.
The system’s functional advantages include the precise quantification of power generation losses caused by equipment faults and intelligent priority sorting for photovoltaic operation and maintenance tasks. Internal operational assessments by Huawei show that deploying this solution at a standard 1GW photovoltaic power station can reduce ineffective operation and maintenance workload by 30%, while raising overall power generation efficiency by 1%, under conventional operating conditions.
