PVTIME – The major German energy utility EnBW has officially commissioned its He Dreiht offshore wind farm, located in the North Sea off the coast of Germany.
With a total installed capacity of 960MW, the site uses Vestas V236-15MW turbine technology across its offshore array. This is a notable milestone for European renewable power as He Dreiht is one of the first large-scale offshore wind facilities in Europe to be built entirely without public-sector subsidies.
