The 216,000-square-foot site holds LEED certification. It is approximately three times the size of the company’s previous Albuquerque premises, and will support around 30 roles in production, assembly, design, engineering, and customer service.
According to the company, the new factory will enable the in-house production of key components that were previously sourced from external suppliers. Many of these newly manufactured components qualify for tax incentives under the US Section 45X Advanced Manufacturing Production Tax Credit. Kevin Hostetler, chief executive of ARRAY Technologies, notes that the development strengthens the resilience of the firm’s domestic supply chain.
The project has received public and private financial support. This includes USD 2.5 million from New Mexico’s Local Economic Development Act job creation fund, as well as separate LEDA grants of USD 250,000 each from the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. The facility has been built with the capacity to expand output across ARRAY’s full product portfolio in the future.
The solar tracker specialist continues to experience robust market demand, with a record order book valued at USD 2.5 billion. Its latest product range, including OmniTrack, SkyLink, Hail XP and APA, accounted for half of this backlog in Q2 2026.
ARRAY Technologies is also expanding its balance-of-system portfolio through the proposed acquisition of Affordable Wire Management, a domestic enterprise valued at approximately USD 203 million. Subject to completion in Q3 2026, the transaction will unlock new commercial opportunities in the battery energy storage system and data centre markets.
ARRAY is ranked among the world’s top five solar tracker manufacturers in the 2026 TaiyangNews market survey. Since its foundation in Albuquerque over 35 years ago, it has delivered more than 100GW of solar tracking capacity globally.
