PVTIME – The Luxembourg-based renewable hydrogen developer H2APEX Group SCA has entered into a two-year supply agreement with the French green hydrogen producer Lhyfe. Under the contract, Lhyfe will deliver up to 100tonnes per annum of RFNBO-certified renewable hydrogen to support H2APEX’s project activities in Germany.
The arrangement builds upon an existing commercial relationship between the two firms and will deliver certified green hydrogen to support both mobility and industrial end-use demand within the German market. As one of Europe’s leading bulk suppliers of RFNBO-compliant hydrogen, Lhyfe will fulfil its supply obligations by drawing output from its operational and pipeline production assets in France and Germany.
Market participants observe that demand for green hydrogen across Europe is expanding faster than the commissioning rate of new electrolyser capacity. Long-term cross-border supply partnerships such as this one help to bridge the gap between project rollout and real-world fuel availability for industrial and transport decarbonisation.
H2APEX develops and operates green hydrogen facilities with a target capacity of up to 2GW across its project portfolio, focusing on delivering renewable hydrogen solutions for German end users.
