PVTIME – Greenvolt has commenced construction of a large-scale battery energy storage project in Siedlce, Poland, on 25 September.
The facility will have a capacity of 600MW/2.4GWh and will use battery technology supplied by BYD Energy Storage. Commercial operation is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.
Together with Greenvolt’s already operational and under-construction sites, the company’s portfolio of three storage plants will reach a combined capacity of 1GW/4GWh once the Siedlce project is completed.
