PVTIME – On 11 September 2026, Skyborn Renewables and its municipal-utility partner Stadtwerke München (SWM) achieved financial close for the Gennaker offshore wind farm in Germany’s Baltic Sea.
The 976.5 MW development has secured approximately €3 billion in total investment. Reaching financial close validates all core contractual arrangements, including those relating to finance, power purchase, supply and installation, thus paving the way for project execution. Located approximately 15 km off the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula in Germany, the wind farm is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2028.
