PVTIME – On January 13th, the front side power of TW Solar’s 210 HJT bifacial module reached 720.7W, setting a new world record for the highest power of heterojunction (HJT) modules. This new record was tested and verified by the renowned certification agency TÜV SÜD.
The module product was jointly developed by Tongwei Hefei Module R&D Team and Tongwei Technology Center Hefei High-efficiency Cell Team through arduous efforts. For the 210 HJT cell, TW Solar adopted the bifacial microcrystalline process—the first ever in the industry—together with cutting-edge technologies such as high-performance target doping and light implantation, realizing higher efficiency and lower cost of HJT cells. For the module part, TW Solar’s self-developed low-stress and low-loss non-welded interconnection technology and various optical optimization technologies were integrated to minimize encapsulation losses and make the encapsulation of HJT cells stable, reliable, and efficient.
