PVTIME – Against a backdrop of fierce global competition for higher-efficiency photovoltaic hardware, leading PV manufacturers continue to push the upper limits of mass-produced solar module performance. This analysis is based exclusively on publicly available global market data sheets published on each manufacturer’s official international website. It focuses on the maximum confirmed conversion efficiency of commercially released, mass-produced product series as of September 2026. This overview does not incorporate any prototype, laboratory-cell or pre-commercial demonstration data.

BC-technology modules occupy the highest tier of the ranking. Both the LONGi EcoLife and the Aiko Solar Comet 3N72 modules have a confirmed mass-produced efficiency of 25.0%. The back-contact BC architecture eliminates front-side metal shading losses, delivering substantial performance gains compared with conventional TOPCon and HJT configurations. These two products represent the current efficiency ceiling among volume-manufactured PV modules available for global shipment.
Immediately below the BC segment lies the leading cohort of TOPCon products. JA Solar’s DeepBlue 5.0 achieves a mass-produced TOPCon module performance benchmark of 24.10%. Two further TOPCon offerings achieve 23.90%: Trina Solar Vertex N and JinkoSolar Tiger Neo 3.0. These figures, verified in datasheets, reflect incremental, real-world efficiency improvements for n-type tunnel-oxide passivated contact technology, which remains the dominant, high-volume technology for utility-scale installations worldwide.
A group of products deliver module efficiency of 23.70%. TW Solar TNC and DMEGC Infinity RT 3.0, which are both based on well-established TOPCon manufacturing platforms. A three-way cluster sits further down the ranking at 23.50%, formed by GCL-SI Super-N (TOPCon), Huasun Himalaya (HJT) and Astronergy Astro N7 (TOPCon). This grouping illustrates the competitive convergence of TOPCon and HJT heterojunction mass-production lines. With 23.80% efficiency, the Risen Energy Hyper-ion Pro is the highest-efficiency mass-produced HJT module in this dataset.
Lower-tier entries continue to demonstrate solid n-type commercial performance. Jolywood JW-Pro and DAS Solar D-Matrix each achieve 23.20%. DAH Solar Full-Screen achieves 23.02%, and Jetion Solar Jeniüs records 22.90%. All of these figures correspond to the maximum module efficiency values published in datasheets for series cleared for international commercial sales.
Notable market dynamics are visible across technology tracks. BC has secured the lead in terms of absolute mass-production efficiency, yet its global rollout on a large scale is still underway. TOPCon solutions are widely available from nearly all ranked suppliers and deliver consistent high-efficiency performance for global project developers. HJT solutions, represented by Risen Energy, Huasun, and Jetion Solar, offer competitive performance, though there is a greater variation in efficiency between competing mass-produced product lines.
It is important to note that this ranking reflects the maximum values published in official international English-language datasheets. Several manufacturers publish higher efficiency figures in Chinese-language documentation for product variants not yet released globally. Those variants are excluded here. As manufacturers update their public global datasheets, the hierarchy of commercial module efficiency will continue to evolve in subsequent reporting periods.
