PVTIME – US-based solar tracker manufacturer FTC Solar has entered into a 1GW supply agreement with Strata Clean Energy, a leading developer of solar PV and energy storage projects. This builds on an initial collaboration announced in September 2024, when the two companies agreed that FTC Solar would supply around 500MW of its Voyager 2P solar tracker systems to various sites in the US.

The revised agreement designates FTC Solar as Strata’s preferred 2P solar tracker supplier for three years, while also increasing the supply volume by 1GW and extending the partnership term to five years from the amendment date. This expansion follows the early completion of most projects covered by the original agreement, with the first project under the extended deal set to begin in the second half of 2027.
Yann Brandt, President and Chief Executive Officer of FTC Solar, expressed the company’s satisfaction at being selected to partner with Strata on its future 1GW projects, following the successful completion of their initial 500MW 2P collaboration.
Under the preliminary terms, Strata intends to deploy a range of FTC Solar’s tracker technologies at its project sites, integrated with the company’s SunPath software platform to optimise system performance and energy output.
In addition to its partnership with Strata, FTC Solar recently secured a three-year supply agreement with Lubanzi Inala, a South African solar procurement firm within the Green Axis Africa EPC consortium. This agreement involves supplying a combination of 1P and 2P tracker technologies, with a total installed capacity of around 840MW, for multiple large-scale utility-scale solar projects in South Africa. The first of these projects is scheduled to begin in mid-2026.
