LONGi, Jinko and Trina Storage Secure Major Overseas Contracts

PVTIME – Chinese photovoltaic and energy storage firms are continuing to gain a strong foothold in international markets. Industry leaders such as LONGi, Jinko Energy and Trina Storage have announced new high-value contracts that will further strengthen their position in key regions.

LONGi has secured a 300MW supply agreement with Brandmerchandising B.V., a leading European PV distributor. Under the terms of the agreement, the distributor will source 300MW of LONGi’s high-efficiency HPBC 2.0 PV modules. This is set to strengthen LONGi’s dominant position in Europe and provide significant impetus to the region’s energy transition efforts.

On 21 January 2026, Jinko Energy signed a distribution deal for almost 300MW of its high-efficiency Tiger 3 modules with four major Thai PV enterprises: UTI Energy, Solar Touch, JTN Energy and IAN Solar. This collaboration with well-established companies further cements Jinko’s leadership in Thailand’s competitive PV market.

Trina Storage has partnered with Irish renewable energy developer Aer Soléir on its inaugural large-scale battery energy storage project in Italy. Together, they will deliver a 250MW/1GWh storage facility in Rondissone, Turin, one of the largest battery energy storage projects currently underway in Italy and across Europe. This project is a significant milestone for Trina Storage in Italy’s utility-scale storage sector. It advances Trina Storage’s strategic footprint in Europe and reinforces its reputation as a trusted partner in the continent’s large-scale energy storage industry.
