PVTIME – a 10GW heterojunction solar cell production project was recently initiated by Golden Solar New Energy Technology Holdings Limited (Golden Solar)(01121.HK), Sichuan Giastar Group Co., Ltd., and Sichuan New Hosun Group Co., Ltd. in Leshan City, China’s Green Silicon Valley in Sichuan Province.
This particular project is mainly engaged in the R&D, production and sales of HJT solar cells, with a joint investment of 7 billion yuan to reach a planned production capacity of 10GW.
The project is scheduled to make trial production in January 2023. It is estimated to achieve an operating income of 6 billion yuan annually as the completion of the first phase. And the operating income for the whole project is calculated to be 12 billion yuan once upon completion. What is more, the project is expected to be a top level PV industrial park and to promote the development of solar energy and social economy in Leshan City.
