PVTIME – A groundbreaking ceremony for a 12GW solar cell production project was recently held in Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province of China.
The project was initiated by Yangzhou Xinrui Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd., a company funded in October 2022, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, including 3 billion yuan for related equipment. It aims to reach a production capacity of 12GW of high-efficiency TOPCon and HJT solar cells every year, and will be the very first in 10 billion yuan investment project in the region so far.
This particular project is expected to be a milestone for the solar and energy storage industry in Gaoyou City to accelerate the development of related manufacturing projects, with high-quality and great contribution to the modernisation of Jiangsu Province.
