PVTIME – On 7 September 2026, Fugro, a specialist offshore wind survey service provider, announced its participation in the Horizon Europe-backed OCEANITY project. Operating within the European Digital Twin Ocean (EDITO) framework, the programme will develop practical marine digital twin decision support resources.
Fugro’s subsidiary EOMAP will contribute Earth observation datasets and virtual reality components to the project. The developed tools will support European offshore wind developers, marine industry operators more broadly, and public sector authorities. These tools will enable stakeholders to conduct scenario-based what if assessments prior to making marine-related decisions, covering three core domains: coastal-urban resilience, marine spatial planning, and sustainable maritime operations.
