PVTIME – Sungrow, the global leading inverter solution supplier for renewables, announced its India factory hit a 4GW production record during the first quarter of 2022, a huge milestone of Sungrow’s contribution to the “Make in India” Initiative.

The Sungrow India factory was initially built in 2018 with a 3GW production capacity which has expanded to 10GW as of March, 2022. This factory is also the largest manufacturing base in the Indian solar sector spreading over 1,90,000 square feet. It provides jobs for about 300 local people and the scale is growing. With such an enormous manufacturing capacity, this factory produced a total of 4GW PV inverters in India within only three months of this year, making Sungrow the top producer in the Indian solar market.

As a response to “Make in India” Initiative, Sungrow also pays attention to upgrading the manufacturing mode with advanced technologies. It equipped this factory with state-of-art production lines and testing center in order to provide cutting-edge products with satisfying customers’ OTD (on time delivery). Inverter equipment produced in this factory has supplied a series of projects worldwide, especially in India.

With such unparalleled competence in the manufacturing sector, Sungrow can better supply its inverter solutions to customers in not only India, but global markets. In the future, Sungrow will maintain its commitment to the “Make in India” Initiative with its first in class factory and dedicated local team. Sungrow also looks forward to making more substantial contributions to India through creating more employment opportunities, and upgrading the entire industry chain.
