Linyang Energy’s 2GW Solar-Wind-Storage Projects to Be Approved in Anhui Province

PVTIME – On April 24, Jiangsu Linyang Energy Co., Ltd. (601222.SH), a Chinese company provides smart energy, energy saving, renewable energy solutions and a variety of world-class products, released an announcement on the approval of its pilot project of solar-wind-storage integration in Wuhe County, Bengbu City, Anhui Province, China.

According to the announcement, Linyang Energy and the People’s Government of Wuhe County will jointly invest in the construction of up to 2GW in solar-wind power generation, and 540MW/1.08GWh in centralized and shared energy storage projects in Wuhe County. Among them, 400MW renewable energy projects and 108MW/216MWh energy storage projects are planned to be completed in 2022. Another 1.2GW renewable energy projects and 324MW/648MWh energy storage projects are planned to be completed in the duration of 2022-2024.

According to the investment cooperation agreement signed between Linyang Energy and People’s Government of Wuhe County in July 2021, the total investment of the Wuhe County project would be 10.8 billion yuan. Liyang Energy stated that it planned to invest another 900 million yuan to establish a high-efficiency bifacial module production project with an annual output of 2.5GW in the Wuhe Economic Development Zone.

Renewable energy power generation projects are the key to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality.These projects are expected to positively influence Linyang Energy’s future business development, further increase the company’s operating scale, and enhance the company’s market influence and core competitiveness.
