DAS Lightweight Shingling PV Module: 4.3kg/㎡

PVTIME – In 2020, DAS Solar launched its lightweight shingling module, using fluoride composite film as its encapsulation sheet. The module weights 4.3Kg/m2, 30% that of a conventional solar module.

Exist Problem

The costs for conventional solar system installation was high as re-fix of the frames or repair of the roofs from leakage. In many cases, the load requirement of conventional solar system were hardly met by the target rooftops especially for the rooftops with colored steel tiles, residential glazed tiles, bricks and so forth, which the owners had to pay extra fees for reinforcement and maintenance.

Better Solution

DAS lightweight solar module is using fluoride film as its cover, the weight per square meter is 4.3 Kg, which weights only 30% of a conventional solar module. The module power is up to 330W and size is 1770*1000mm. The frontside sheet is hydrophobic and the module has no frame, which leads to a self-clean surface, preventing accumulation of dust and reducing maintenance costs.

The module adopts no frame design but double-side foam or structural silicone interconnection, causing neither roof damage nor leakage. This installation method ensures that each array could be installed in the shortest time possible (minimum in 40 seconds by 2 people), which helps to lower installation costs for the customers.

The DAS module is highly reliable, with TÜV certification for 3600 Pa mechanical load, wind tunnel, damp heat, salt mist, fire-proofing and UV resistance testing.

More Applications

DAS lightweight solar modules are widely applied in distributed projects, including industrial and residential rooftops, in Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, Inner Mongolia and other provinces in China.

Availability

DAS Solar lightweight module has achieved mass production in 2020 and developed internationally with sales networks in Japan, South Korea and Thailand since then.
