PVTIME – Singularity Energy has announced its third energy storage collaboration with Tongwei Group. The companies will deliver a 10MW/20MWh system to Tongwei’s 10GW photovoltaic module manufacturing base in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. This brings the companies’ total collaborative storage capacity to 25MW/50MWh.
The Nantong facility has an annual module production capacity of 10GW and consumes around 100 million kWh of electricity per year. It has deployed 48 eBlock-418 modular storage cabinets to help control electricity costs, ensure a reliable supply and promote green power consumption. The system began operating commercially in October 2025 and has maintained a round-trip efficiency above 86%.
Through peak-shaving and valley-filling strategies, the project is expected to reduce annual electricity costs by around RMB 240,000. The system also smooths grid load fluctuations, improves power quality, and supports continuous production operations.
The two companies previously delivered a 10MW/20MWh system at Tongwei’s Yancheng base and a 5MW/10MWh system at its Hefei base; both have comparable operational performance.
