PVTIME – On 16 March 2023, Yuze Semiconductor (Yunnan) Co., Ltd.announced the operation of the first phase of the Czochralski silicon processing (30GW) and silicon slicing (30GW) project in Yunnan Province of China.
The project is planned to be completed in three phases, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan. The first phase of the project is expected to create 2,000 jobs, and generate an annual output value of about 15 billion yuan, annual tax revenue of about 600 million yuan, and industrial value added of 4 billion yuan upon completion.
Yuze Semiconductor is an innovative high-tech enterprise focusing on high-efficiency n-type monocrystalline silicon wafers and integrating R&D, production, sales and service. Its production capacity of full-size n-type solar wafers has reached 35GW, and will exceed 55GW by the end of 2023 according to the company’s plan.
