20GW! Hoshine to Expand Into Solar Module Business via Subsidiary

PVTIME – Hoshine Silicon Industry Co., Ltd. (603260.SH), a leading company mainly engaged in the production of silicon-based materials, announced on 11 May 2023 that it has confirmed to invest in the solar module business through a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Hoshine (Xinjiang Central), a subsidiary of Hoshine, will invest in a solar module project with a production capacity of 20GW, as part of a silicon-based new material integration project, with an investment of 20.5 billion yuan.

In addition, Hoshine (Xinjiang Central) will launch a PV glass project with an annual output of 1.5 million tonnes of ultra-thin high-transmission photovoltaic glass, with an investment of 4.455 billion yuan.

Meanwhile, Hoshine (East Xinjiang), a subsidiary of Hoshine, will start a silicon production project with an annual output of 200,000 tonnes of high-purity crystal silicon, with an investment of 17.631 billion yuan.
