PVTIME – On January 5, Xinjiang Daqo New Energy Co., Ltd.(688303.SH) disclosed that it has signed an Investment Agreement with the People’s Government of Jiuyuan Distinction of Baotou City for silicon material production projects.
The company intends to launch high purity polysilicon project with annual output of 100,000MT and silicon materials for semiconductor production project with annual output of 20,000MT, following its first phase of 100,000MT high purity polysilicon and 1,000MT polysilicon for semiconductor project.
The particular first phase of the project has been completed more than 80%. And this second phase, with a total investment of 17.3 billion yuan, will be started in the first quarter of 2023 and be completed within the year. It is estimated to achieve annual output value of 15.1 billion yuan, an annual profit of 8 billion yuan, and a total tax of 2.5 billion yuan.
