12GW! GCLSI’s Solar Module Project Goes Into Operation

PVTIME– GCL System Integration Technology Co., Ltd. (GCLSI)(002506.SZ), a leading photovoltaic (PV) company in China, has recently completed construction of its solar module production base and commenced operations in Funing City, Jiangsu Province, China, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan.

This facility was initiated on 26th March 2023 and produced its first high-efficiency solar module in September. It’s anticipated to reach a production capacity of 12GW of high-efficiency solar modules, including 210/182 TOPCon, with conversion efficiency exceeding 22.5%.

GCLSI has announced the initial completion of its integrated PV production base, which involves the manufacturing of both n-type cells and modules. The Hefei base features a capacity of 15GW for modules, while the Wuhu Base boasts a 10GW capacity for TOPCon cells. With this newly added capacity, GCLSI will enhance its competitiveness and maintain its leading position in the industry.

Furthermore, GCLSI performed well in Q3 2023 with several sales contracts underway and recent successes in winning bids and orders from prominent construction companies in China.
