PVTIME – Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) reveal a series of data about the photovoltaic industry in China 2021.
The data shown that the overall supply chain of the photovoltaic industry chain in China run well stable. The annual output of polysilicon, silicon wafer, solar cells, and modules reached 505,000 MT, 227GW, 198GW, and 182GW, a year-on-year increase of 27.5%, 40.6%, 46.9%, 46.1% respectively.
The amount of polysilicon provided by core enterprises has increased and could meet the needs for N-type solar cells. And the technology for enlarge the size as well as thinner of the wafer has accelerated to improve.
Meanwhile, the efficiency of solar cell reached new high in 2021. The efficiency of P-type PERC in mass production reached 23.1%, the efficiency of N-type TOPCon cells exceeded 25.4% in experiment. In addition, the mass production of HJT cells speed up significantly.
Furthermore, the amount of photovoltaic product exported by China has exceeded 28.4 billion US dollars in 2021, due to the climate change and market demands.
