Wang Bohua ( Honorary Chairman of CPIA ): PV installed capacity to be reduced to 45GW-55GW in China 2021

PVTIME – On December 15, at the 2021 China Photovoltaic Industry Annual Conference and (Chuzhou) Photovoltaic Innovation and Development Summit Forum, Wang Bohua, Honorary Chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), gave a speech on “Analysis of Opportunities and Challenges of China’s Photovoltaic Industry”.

Wang Bohua pointed out that the total installed photovoltaic capacity in China this year is expected to be reduced from the original 55GW-65GW to 45GW-55GW. Unfavorable factors such as lagging indicators and rising prices have caused the installed capacity to deviate from the expected course gradually.

It is expected that the installed capacity of photovoltaics may increase to more than 75GW in 2022, as the huge number of domestic photovoltaic power generation projects available in China.

In addition, during this forum, a signing ceremony for investment promotion projects for the photovoltaic industry in Chuzhou City was held, and 8 projects with a total investment of over 60 billion yuan settled in Chuzhou City.
