A Tier 1 ranking for photovoltaic inverters was also announced.

Global photovoltaic installations grew consistently in 2025, maintaining a strong growth phase in the inverter market. Leading companies have secured a stronghold in the premium segment through solar-storage integration, comprehensive AI dispatch solutions and advancements in grid-forming technology. Major manufacturers leveraged regional policy support to establish a presence in the residential, commercial and industrial markets, gaining a competitive edge. Meanwhile, new entrants drove market vitality through product innovation and demonstrated considerable growth potential.
Reflecting industry trends in 2025, PVBL has released its Tier 1 list for global PV inverter brands. Classified by application into utility-scale, commercial and industrial, and residential and micro-inverter categories, the ranking clearly illustrates the competitive landscape of the global inverter sector.
In the utility-scale market, Sungrow and Huawei Digital Energy maintained robust shipments for large-scale power projects both domestically and internationally, bolstered by strong technical capabilities and extensive project experience. Sineng Electric, CRRC and TBEA also achieved notable success in tenders organised by state-owned enterprises.
Competition remained diverse across the commercial, industrial, and residential segments. Sungrow and Huawei maintained their lead in the commercial and industrial market, while Ginlong Solis and GoodWe recorded steady increases in overseas revenue, maintaining their strong market positions. In the residential and micro-inverter sector, newcomer Sigenergy experienced rapid growth alongside consistent performance from well-established brands. Despite mounting competitive pressure, the micro-inverter market maintained a stable structure.
