PVTIME – On, Aug 16, 2021, ReneSola Yixing Co., Ltd., a globally reputed manufacturer of Solar PV Modules, issued a press release to provide clarification on the “ReneSola” brand ownership and its rights globally.
Mr. Bo Li (Chairman, ReneSola Yixing Co., Ltd.) stated in the release, “We have learned from various sources that there are a few people trying to mislead the customers on the “ReneSola” brand name rights and its ownership. We would like to clarify to them as well as to our customers globally that all the rights and ownership of the brand “ReneSola” is reserved by ReneSola Yixing Co., Ltd. under Trademark Class-9 for manufacturing of solar photovoltaic modules. ReneSola Yixing Co., Ltd. is the only custodian of all Trademark Class-9 related intellectual property rights of the brand.
He further clarified that Mr. Xianshou Li, who used to be the sole owner of the manufacturing business of ReneSola Group (after the delisting of manufacturing business from NYSE in 2017), has sold the complete rights of Trademark Class-9 including the brand to ReneSola Yixing Co., Ltd. in 2020. Therefore, the “ReneSola” brand name is the sole property of ReneSola Yixing Co., Ltd. for the manufacturing of solar photovoltaic modules globally.
