LONGi Sets the First Space Lab for Future Energy in Xi’an Base

PVTIME – A space laboratory mainly engages in the new energy for the future was official established by LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in the space science research base named Space Nine in Xi’an City of Shaanxi Province on September 15, 2022.

This particular space laboratory is the first one aims to promote the integrated development of aerospace technology and new energy, the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. It will focus on four key breakthroughs in development of new energy in the future, namely the high-efficient and leading technology products, space verification for the safety and reliability of products, excellence products quality for space, and the energy trends for the future, which including but not limited to research on the combination of solar energy and aerospace technology, satellites for energy monitoring, solar energy transmission in the space and relevant technology and cooperation.

The first major project for the lab will be the outer space tests for LONGi’s new products via space-carrying, to see the reliability of its new products. Meanwhile, the changes of relevant performance of the products will be monitored. The outer space research on the new powerful scientific experiment platform is expected to support the research on the ground as theoretical and experimental data will be compared and analyzed to optimize and upgrade LONGi’s products.

In addition to science tasks, education work will be undertook by the lab as well. LONGi will popularize aerospace and photovoltaic science to the public. And public opening days jointly organized by the Science and Technology Association of Shaanxi Province and LONGi will be available for common people to reach the knowledge and technology of outer space and solar energy.
