LONGi Kicks Off 10GW Solar Module Project in Wuhu City, China

PVTIME – On 16 May 2023, a ceremony was held in Wuchu City, Anhui Province, China, to mark the start of construction of 24 projects with a total investment of 21 billion yuan, covering new energy and smart vehicles, smart appliances, new materials and modern services, including LONGi’s solar module project.

LONGi’s project is the second phase of a module project signed in May 2022, with a production capacity of 15GW of monocrystalline PV modules. The first phase of the project, with a production capacity of 10GW of monocrystalline PV modules, was launched in June 2022 and started operation this month. The entire project, with a total investment of 8 billion yuan, is expected to reach full production in the first quarter of 2024, generating annual sales revenue of 43 billion yuan and creating approximately 4,500 jobs for local people.
