JA Solar to Supply Garibsons, SM Solar and Wasiq Traders with 200MW Each of PV Modules

PVTIME – Recently, during SOLAR PAKISTAN 2024, JA Solar signed MoUs with Garibsons, SM Solar and Wasiq Traders to supply 200MW of PV modules each. JA Solar will work closely with these leading local companies to promote Pakistan’s green and low carbon energy transition.

Garibsons is the largest rice exporter in Pakistan, with operations in more than 100 countries around the world, and is committed not only to meeting the needs of its customers and providing them with high quality rice products, but also to sustainable development and environmental protection. The signing of the MoU with JA Solar for the supply of 200MW of PV modules is an important step for Garibsons to practice green development.

SM Solar, a subsidiary of Nishat Chunian Group, Pakistan’s largest diversified conglomerate, has signed a MoU with JA Solar for the supply of 200MW of PV modules and is committed to promoting the use of renewable energy sources to reduce dependence on traditional energy sources and contribute to green and sustainable energy development in Pakistan.

Wasiq Traders, a Pakistani trading company, is an importer specialising in PV modules and inverters and is the leading importer of PV modules in Pakistan. The company plays an important role in trading various commodities and has established an extensive business network with international suppliers and customers. Wasiq Traders has signed an MoU with JA Solar to supply 200MW of PV modules as JA Solar’s distributor to introduce JA Solar’s products to the Pakistani market and promote the development of the local PV industry.

The new partnership is a new milestone in the co-operation between JA Solar and these three companies and reinvigorates the renewable energy industry in Pakistan.
