Huawei Secures Full VDE Grid-Connection Certifications For Its Smart String Inverter

PVTIME – Huawei Digital Power has obtained three pivotal VDE-AR-N certifications for its SUN2000-506KTL-H1 smart string inverter, meeting the strictest grid-interconnection benchmarks set for Germany’s power network.

The hardware has passed compliance checks against the VDE-AR-N 4110, 4120 and 4130 standards, a comprehensive set of technical requirements that govern distributed energy equipment connected to Germany’s medium-, high- and extra-high-voltage grids. Collectively known in the industry as the triple certification, this full qualification validates the inverter’s grid-fault ride-through capability, dynamic voltage response, and protective coordination performance under demanding local grid codes.

This regulatory milestone removes key market access barriers and paves the way for the broader rollout of Huawei’s high-power inverter platform across Germany’s residential storage and commercial and industrial solar-plus-storage segments. Local project developers, EPC contractors and asset operators can now deploy the unit without facing any unresolved grid code compliance risks.
