Technology Leader Exhibits New Generation of Higher-Efficiency Front-side Silver Pastes
FRANKFURT, Germany and WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Sept. 17, 2012 The Heraeus Photovoltaics Business Unit will highlight its new SOL9600 Series of front-side metallization pastes at this year’s 27th Annual European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (PVSEC) from September 24-28 in Frankfurt, Germany.
“Heraeus is eagerly anticipating the European debut of SOL9600,” said Andy London, Global Manager of the Photovoltaics Business Unit. “This series of pastes introduces significant improvements over current industry applications and is further indication of Heraeus’ leadership in the PV pastes arena.”
The SOL9600 series for conventional c-Si solar cells has demonstrated significantly improved contact quality on regular and high sheet emitter wafers (up to 35% decrease in contact resistance), exhibiting an absolute efficiency improvement of up to 0.3%. The SOL9600 Series is a significant improvement over their previous industry leading SOL9235 and SOL9411 pastes for applications requiring higher efficiency and finer line resolution printing. As with all Heraeus metallization pastes, the SOL9600 Series offers a wider processing window during firing, which provides a tighter production output distribution and improves yields.
