CLP’s First Three Quarters Electricity Sales in Hong Kong up 1.8% Year to Year

HONG KONG, China, Oct. 22, 2019 /PVTIME/ — According to Zhitong Financial, CLP Holdings’ (00002) financial briefing for the first three quarters of 2019 revealed electricity sales in Hong Kong of 26.577 billion kWh, up 1.8% compared to the previous year. Electricity sales to commercial, infrastructural and public service customers have grown with the development of many major infrastructure projects while residential customers rose slightly in comparison to last year.

With the Shekou Power Supply Contract expiring in June of 2018, no electricity was sold to Mainland China during this period. As a result total electricity sales to Hong Kong and Mainland China were 0.3% lower than the same period last year.
