CHINT’s 200MW Gaoyazi PV Project in Gansu Province of China Commissioned

PVTIME – Just 2 days before the end of 2022, the Gaoyazi 200MW PV Project, invested and constructed by CHINT Solar, in Gaotai County of Gansu Province, was connected to grid. The successful commissioning of the project marked the perfect ending of the challenging 2022 for the company as well as another milestone achieved by CHINT Solar in Gansu in terms of project development and investment in the province.

Gaotai County, where the project is located, serves as a key hub along the New Eurasian Land Bridge with well-established infrastructures of highway, railway, and air transportation, beyond the transport accessibility, the leveled terrain and the abundancy in solar resources make the county a perfect place to construct PV plants.

Project Substation and its BESS Equipment

This 200MW project, including a 40MW/80MWh BESS and its affiliated equipment, covers an area of 350 hectares with a total investment of 814 million of RMB. The estimated energy generation would be 400 million kWh per annum, corresponding to the CO2 reduction of 258,000 tons, standard coal saving of 97,000 tons and SO2 reduction of 433,000 tons.

As the developer and constructor of the project, CHINT Solar has made up a comprehensive plan to deliver the project to the highest standards. The construction started on 28 December of 2021, the CHINT’s team has overcome countless difficulties, such as pressure from the supply chain and adverse weather, etc., with the help from local government, the project is successfully completed in one year time.
