702 Million Yuan! First Applied Material To Expand PV Film Production

PVTIME – On 1st July 2023, Hangzhou First Applied Material Co., Ltd. (First Applied Material)(603806.SH), a leading manufacturer of EVA film, announced that it will invest 702 million yuan to expand its EVA film production capacity in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, China.

The company plans to achieve annual production capacity of 250 million square meters of film project for the manufacture of high-efficiency solar cells, which will be initiated by a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company set up in Jiangmen City the local. And the project, which is currently in the preliminary stage, is expected to be completed within 3 years.

As a global leader in PV packaging film, First Applied Material intends to expand the production capacity of PV packaging materials for large-scale module production as well as technology innovation, as the solar module has undergone revolutionary updates, such as n-type TOPCon, n-type HJT, IBC and perovskite products, leading to diversification requirements for related film products.
