The 200-acre development is located within Sector 8 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority zone in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district and will have dedicated production lines sized at 5GW for solar cells and 5GW for photovoltaic modules.
Once operational, the site will mass-produce TOPCon solar cells and modules to meet domestic demand in India, and it is expected to generate around 20,000 local jobs.
Sukhbir Singh, Director of SAEL Industries, confirmed that the company has invested INR 820 billion (approximately USD 867 million) in the dual-capacity manufacturing hub. He explained that this investment represents far more than just the cost of construction, constituting a key advance in India’s national drive for energy independence.
