PVTIME – On 28 January, China’s National Energy Administration released national power statistics for 2025.
Newly installed solar power capacity reached 315.07GW, setting a new record, while wind power additions stood at 119.33GW.


By the end of December 2025, China’s cumulative solar power installation capacity had reached 1.2 billion kilowatts, marking a year-on-year increase of 35.4%. Wind power installation capacity totalled 640 million kilowatts, marking a year-on-year increase of 22.9%.
Together, these two sources accounted for 47.3% of the country’s total installed power capacity.
