300MW! TrinaTracker powers Uzbekistan’s landmark solar-storage site

PVTIME – TrinaTracker has completed the supply of its Vanguard 1P smart single-axis solar trackers for the 300MW Navoi integrated solar-storage development in Uzbekistan. This installation is Central Asia’s first large-scale solar-plus-storage complex and sets an important performance benchmark for renewable energy deployment across the region.

The Vanguard 1P tracking hardware is a core mechanical component of the hybrid site, optimising photovoltaic yield by dynamically adjusting panel orientation throughout the day. This flagship project expands TrinaTracker’s operational presence in Central Asia, where challenging desert conditions impose significant mechanical and thermal demands on solar infrastructure.

The delivery of such utility-scale hybrid solar-storage capacity is a key part of Uzbekistan’s national renewable energy rollout. The project provides a reference case for neighbouring markets exploring combined solar generation and battery storage to strengthen domestic power security.
