The announcement follows Nippon Energy’s recent acquisition of a Dubai-based photovoltaic module company established in 2016. This strategic purchase provides the company with an immediate foothold in the region, complementing its long-standing operations in the UAE and Pakistan. In the UAE, Nippon Energy has built a reputation not only for providing solar solutions to residential, commercial and industrial customers, but also for its innovative investment and leasing services in the photovoltaic sector.
Commenting on the new 1GW plant investment, a spokesperson for Nippon Energy stated that this project is fully in line with the UAE’s visionary plans for a sustainable future and the goals set out in the COP28 initiative. It underlines Nippon Energy’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development and the company’s determination to support the UAE’s long-term environmental ambitions. By bringing its expertise in HJT technology to Dubai, Nippon Energy aims to play a key role in accelerating the region’s transition to clean energy.
With this new manufacturing facility, Nippon Energy will enhance Dubai’s capacity to meet its renewable energy targets and contribute to the city’s goal of becoming a global leader in sustainable energy production.
