15GW! CITIC Bohai to Launch Aluminum Frame for PV Project in China

PVTIME – CITIC Bohai Aluminum, a subsidiary of CITIC Group, has recently received the land use permit from the local government of Chuzhou City, Anhui Province of China for the construction of an aluminium frame production project.

This particular project aims to produce aluminium frames for PV solar project with a capacity of 15GW per year, and is expected to generate an annual output value of 1.8 billion yuan (US$293.37 million).

CITIC Bohai Aluminum has been involved in the aluminium processing industry for four decades, with a clear vision of becoming a specialist in the manufacture of extrusion products and playing a key role in the development of lightweight component platforms. The company is actively pursuing the development of both photovoltaic aluminium frame profiles and lightweight automotive components. CITIC Bohai Aluminum has long held a leading position in the segmented photovoltaic aluminium frame profile market. In the high-end automotive component sector, it is targeting industry-leading customers and has already become a core supplier of crash beam products to Tesla (China).
