PVTIME – Jiangsu Zhongqing Guotou Industry Development Group Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the “Zhongqing Group”), a company integrating the research, development and manufacturing of photovoltaic products, has recently signed a cooperation framework agreement with the Karamay Municipal People’s Government in China to build the Central Asia (International) Green Energy Industrial Park, which will also become the most technologically advanced PV cell production base in Karamay City.
11 billion yuan will be invested in the project, which will be built in two phases, with the first phase scheduled to start in June this year and production to start later this year. After that, 12GW of TOPCon high-efficiency photovoltaic cells and 5GW of high-efficiency photovoltaic module manufacturing projects will be established in the industrial park, promoting the high-quality development of Karamay City’s new energy industry.
