PVTIME – On December 15, a ceremony was hold by Hunan Tongze Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and the Management Committee of Liuyang Development Zone of Hunan Province in China for an Investment Agreement on 10GW HJT solar cell and module production project in the city.
The project will be initiated by Tongze Solar Energy, a joint venture of Wuxi Empire New Energy Ltd. and professional investors of the photovoltaic industry, within 36 months, with a total investment of 10.8 billion yuan.
It adopts the heterojunction (HJT) photovoltaic cell technology with higher conversion efficiency and many advantages comparing with traditional PERC solar cells, the company stated.
The project is expected to achieve an annual output value of 20 billion yuan, once upon completion, and an annual tax payment of 500 million yuan, which will be the largest photovoltaic production base as well as leading one in Hunan Province.
