LONGi Solar Announces 6.3 Billion Yuan Expansion Plans to Increase Manufacturing Capacity of Modules by 10GW and Solar Cells by 5GW

XI’AN, China, Oct. 14, 2019 /PVTIME/ — LONGi Solar issued three production expansion announcements outlining its plan to add a total of 15GW to its module and solar cell production capabilities.

It is reported that the investment total of the Chuzhou Phase II Project, a project for increasing annual monocrystalline module production by 5GW annually, is estimated to be 2.021 billion yuan (working capital included). Upon completion, the Chuzhou facility will generate about 8.479 billion yuan in annual operating income and 538 million yuan in annual net profit.

The investment total of Xianyang’s 5GW monocrystalline module production project is estimated to be 1.839 billion yuan (working capital included), generating 8.479 billion yuan in annual operating income and 563 million in annual net profit once production begins.

The investment total for Xi’an Jingwei City’s 5GW monocrystalline cell production project is estimated to be about 2.462 billion yuan (including working capital). Its annual operating income will reach 3.739 billion yuan while generating about 398 million in annual net profit.
