Yingli Solar Hosts FC Bayern Youth Cup Finals in China

BAODING and TIANJIN, China, April 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ — FC Bayern Youth Cup China commenced its Hainan and Tianjin finals last week on March 24 in Haikou, Hainan and on April 1st in Tianjin. This event was jointly hosted by Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (“Yingli Green Energy” or the “Company”), which markets its products under the brand “Yingli Solar”, National Youth Campus Football, Chinese Football Association (CFA) and FC Bayern Munich, one of the most successful football clubs in the world. Li Xue, Chairwoman of CFA and Director of National Campus Football Office, Mr. Paul Breitner, Club Legend and Brand Ambassador of FC Bayern Munich, and Judy Tzeng Lee, Director of Marketing & Development of Yingli Green Energy attended the event.

FC Bayern Youth Cup aims to provide opportunities for children from disadvantaged areas to play football and for outstanding young players who wish to show their talents in Munich. The concept of FC Bayern Youth Cup began with FC Bayern Munich and is jointly hosted by sponsors worldwide. Yingli Green Energy, FC Bayern Munich’s first Chinese sponsor and the first official premium partner in the renewable energy industry, was excited to be able to bring this event to China.

Ten young players have been selected to play in Munich, Germany. Selections are made accordingly to the players’ skills and performance during the matches. These ten young players from China will have the opportunity to play against other Youth Cup teams including Germany, Italy, Austria, and India at the Allianz Arena, home of FC Bayern Munich.
