Yingli Green Energy’s Multicrystalline PV Module Passes TUV SUD’s PID Test

Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE: YGE) (“Yingli Green Energy” or the “Company”), a leading solar energy company and one of the world’s largest vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturers, which markets its products under the brand “Yingli Solar,” today announced that its multicrystalline PV modules passed the Potential Induced Degradation (“PID”) test conducted by TUV SUD.

The PID test was conducted under stringent conditions of 85 degrees Celsius, 85% relative humidity, and 1,000 volts of system voltage bias with a testing duration of 96 hours. The test results showed that the power degradation of Yingli Solar modules was lower than 0.5%, significantly below the maximum allowable power output degradation rate of 5%.
