Hefei, China (April 16, 2014) – Sungrow was identified as the most requested Chinese photovoltaic (PV) inverter brand in a recent IHS global survey of PV inverter buyers, including system integrator, distributors and installers.
IHS (NYSE: IHS) is the leading source of information, analytics and expertise in critical areas that shape today’s business landscape, including the PV inverter market.
In the IHS survey, more than 300 solar installers, distributors and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies were asked about their preferences and opinions on PV inverters, in order to help suppliers better understand the needs and requirements of their customers. The survey was created following consultation with PV inverter suppliers and covers a variety of topics including buying preferences, brands, inverter choice, product features, microinverters & power optimizers, service & warranty, inverter pricing and Chinese inverters. The survey also covers multiple geographic regions with responses analysed by country and customer type. It was found that Chinese inverters are gaining increased acceptance in places such as the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom – with Sungrow as the highest-scoring Chinese brand.
Sungrow has been responsible for technological innovation and industrialized development of inverters for nearly 20 years with over 30% market share in China and more than 7GW accumulated inverters deployed in the world. Since 2008, Sungrow’s products have entered the European and American markets and been widely used in these markets.
