Chinese solar product maker JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ:JASO) today said it had started shipments under successful bids to supply 40 MW of solar panels to China Three Gorges New Energy Corp.
The delivery of the photovoltaic (PV) modules to subsidiaries of the group is due to be completed by year-end. The panels will be utilised in a utility-scale project in China’s Ningxia province that will be hooked to the province’s electricity grid.
China Three Gorges New Energy Corp invests in, constructs, operates and manages water conservancy, hydropower, municipal and township water supply, renewable energy, and dredging and environment projects.
