Astronergy to Supply 200MW TOPCon Modules for EXIMPROD’s PV Plants in Romania

PVTIME – Eximprod Group, a group of companies offering a complex portfolio of equipment, solutions and services for the energy sector, recently visited the Astronergy (Chint) production base in Haining City, Zhejiang Province, China. And the two sides signed a contract on 6 April 2023, whereby Astronergy will supply 200MW of TOPCon modules for EXIMPROD’s five PV plants in Romania.

Mihai Manole, CEO of EXIMPROD Group, Catalin Chifan, Director of Project Development of EXIMPROD Group, and the team were warmly welcomed. They visited Astronergy’s PV test centre and cell module production workshops. Mihai Manole highly appreciated the advanced production technology and equipment at Astronergy’s Haining base, especially the automated production line, the self-developed MES system and the industry’s first EL AI inspection system.

The two sides reached an agreement on the construction of solar photovoltaic plants in Romania and held a signing ceremony for the supply of 200MW TOPCon modules for EXIMPROD Group’s five solar projects in Romania. The first batch of TOPCon modules will be delivered in June 2023.

This is another important step for the deployment of Astronergy’s n-type TOPCon modules in the European market, following the delivery of 154.4MW PV modules to the Döllen power plant in Brandenburg, Germany in March 2023. “Astronergy, an intelligent manufacturing company focused on the production and sales of photovoltaic modules, is very pleased to partner with EXIMPROD Group. It is an honour for Astronergy to promote the energy transition in Romania together with EXIMPROD Group, and to provide green and clean electricity generated by solar PV worldwide,” said Mr Zhang Wei, Chief Marketing Officer of Astronergy.
