PVTIME – Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition has launched a public consultation on the allocation of up to 11GW of grid connection capacity for renewable energy and storage projects in areas affected by coal plant closures.
The consultation was initiated on 25 September 2026 and is being conducted by the Institute for Just Transition. Stakeholders are invited to submit their views by 8 October 2026.
