PVTIME – On 23 September, Tongwei Solar and Solen Energy Group UK Ltd concluded a 500MW framework cooperation agreement at the Solar & Storage Live UK exhibition held at the Birmingham NEC. This marks a key milestone for the two organisations’ joint activities across Britain and Ireland.
This partnership combines Tongwei Solar’s advanced photovoltaic technology portfolio with Solen Energy’s in-depth local market knowledge and operational experience in the renewable energy sector in the UK and Ireland. Under the framework, both parties will jointly identify and pursue new solar project opportunities throughout the two territories.
Tongwei Solar representatives expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in the company by the Solen Energy team, noting that the 500MW target is just the beginning of their joint ambitions. The framework targets solar deployment from 2027 to 2030.
Looking ahead, Tongwei Solar and Solen Energy UK Ltd intend to collaborate closely with local partners and project customers. This collaborative effort aims to deliver more high-quality solar assets to the UK and Ireland, supporting national objectives for a clean energy transition. Both parties stated that they are looking forward to delivering many successful solar installations as they enter this new chapter of commercial cooperation.
