Solar Fabrik supplies high-performance bifacial double-glass TOPCon and back-contact modules to the European market. According to the company, current demand is primarily driven by project developers and wholesalers seeking reliable and timely module supplies to meet project deadlines in a volatile and price-pressured market.
Christian Laibacher, Solar Fabrik’s Chief Executive Officer, said that strong demand validates the company’s strategic direction and its partners’ trust in its delivery capacity and process stability. He added that the business remains focused on reliability, quality, and swift project execution in a market characterised by consolidation and price pressure.
Solar Fabrik is building a 300MW double-glass module factory in Hösbach, near Aschaffenburg, with production scheduled to begin in mid-2026. It plans to increase capacity to 1GW in the future.
Solar Fabrik is one of the few remaining German solar manufacturers still in production. Many competitors, including Meyer Burger and Solarwatt, have halted operations due to weak European demand and strong, low-cost competition from overseas.
The European Commission has recently approved a €3 billion German state aid scheme for net-zero technology manufacturing. This support is expected to encourage further reshoring of solar manufacturing in Germany.
