$2.745bn! CEEC Secures Saudi New Energy Deals

PVTIME – On 11 October, China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) announced that a consortium comprising its subsidiaries and the Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. had signed three new energy EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contracts.

These agreements, which have a combined value of approximately USD 2.745 billion (equivalent to around RMB 19.554 billion), are with a project company jointly owned by Saudi International Power and Water Company, Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Saudi Aramco Power Company.

The contracts cover three key projects under Saudi Arabia’s PIF initiative. These are the 2GW Fulis solar power project (PIF Phase VI), valued at USD 831 million with a 26-month construction period; the 1GW Shaqra wind power project (PIF Phase V) with a USD 663 million price tag and a 26-month build schedule; and the 2GW Stella wind power project costing USD 1.251 billion with a completion time of 30 months.
